New Women of Maryhill tour:

From suffragettes to institutions for 'wayward girls', there is a story to tell of women's history in Maryhill.

Only two of the original 20 Stephen Adam stained glass windows feature women but this is not to say that women did not play an important role in Maryhill's history. Prompted by curiosity, our wonderful heritage volunteers have researched local women's history in Maryhill and can share their knowledge on Women of Maryhill building tour. Groups can arrange a free Women of Maryhill building tour of the Burgh Halls by calling 0845 860 1878, emailing heritage@mbht.org.uk or by filingl in the form below.

This tour is also available as a guided walk around the Maryhill area, taking in the old sites where women made history. Please see the contact details below to arrange a Women of Maryhill guided walk.
