Doors Open Day 2017 at Maryhill Burgh Halls

Discover the hidden gems of Maryhill this Doors Open Day Festival by joining us at the Burgh Halls for free guided walks, tours, performances and workshops.

Maryhill Burgh Halls are looking forward to celebrating Doors Open Day on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September. With free walks, tours, workshops and performances, there is an exciting range of activities for all: 

Drop in between 11am and 3pm on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September to visit the Burgh Halls and view the beautiful Victorian stained glass windows by Stephen Adam.  Get up close and handle objects from our collection and find out more about Maryhill's dynamic history. 

There's something for everyone at the Burgh Halls this year with stained glass inspired arts and crafts, music activities and Victorian games for families.

We're delighted to welcome back Maryhill Heritage Choir who will perform on Saturday 16th September bringing their mix of traditional Scottish, Irish and folk Gospel songs to the Burgh Halls.  

Dee Leckie is bringing her popular handweaving workshops back to the Burgh Halls in October and is delivering taster sessions during Doors Open Day. Come and try this handy craft and learn how to make an array of scarves, ties, purses, and decorations.

Book onto one of our tours at 11am or 2pm on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September.
